Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
Me and Spyda are now in training to enable us to ride the 20 mile course at Newmarket on 6th September 2009.
Update: 4th Sept, Not long to go now...... getting butterflies... are we fit enough ?? making list of stuff I need to pack into the lorry inc. lunch and treats for Spyda and Me. Working out times...what time do I need to be up, what time do I need to be at the yard, what time do I need to be leaving the yard ???????????
Update: 21st August, Spyda is getting a lot fitter, we ride out on the stubble fields each day, lots of trot work, once a week I go over to Thorndon Park or One Tree Hill to use the bridleways there, as both have some nice long sloping hills which I feel aid his fittening.
Update: 11th August, Thing are going well, last Sunday 9th we did the EBA Danbury Ride as a little warm up. Tomorrow Spyda had his 6 monthly dental check after that we will be out on the Stubble fields starting the faster work to build up his wind.
Update: 26th July, We went for a 2 1/2 hour ride today mostly walk and trot on the roads. We kept off of the fields to day because the farmers were out with the combine havesters, they are huge, noisey and can worry the horses so best to try and keep away from them.
Update: 22nd July, the local farmers have started to cut the crops, which enables Spyda and I to start some steady canter work in, whoop whoop :-)
Lots of walk and trot work to start with, cant wait for the crops to be cut so that we cant get out on the stuble for some fast work.
So please sponsor me now! £2 is the min. if you would like to give more that would be GREAT and please remember the GIFT AID if your working.
Thank you, Shiralee x
