1 person in every 100 has a stammer.  

James has had a stammer since he began to speak and he wants to raise money for the speech and language therapy department in NHS Dumfries and Galloway for the help they have given him.

2011 is the National Year of Communication - helping all children say hello. http://www.stammering.org/hello.html

James, aged 11 and black belt in mixed martial arts, will undertake a martial arts challenge set by his club leader Sifu Armstrong.

Gillian will overcome her fear of the dark and (wo)man-eating pike  by swimming across Lake Windermere on the 18th June.
