Hello!
Our group, which is made up of Hannah, Ella, Rhiannon, Zaynah, Sigourney, Emily and Ashley is raising money for the Wings of Hope Children's Charity. (http://www.thewingsofhope.org/home.asp) We are all in Year 12 at Sydenham High School and we would be extremely appreciative of your donations.
We are raising money for a competition called the Wings Of Hope Achievement Award, but far, far more importantly we are asking you to donate your money to help fund the charity itself. We wholeheartedly believe that every child deserves the right to be educated, regardless of where they live or how much income they recieve. This is not the case globally, but it does not always have to be this way. This is why we are working to raise as much money as we possibly can to help support the free education of underprivileged children in the developing world, particularly in India and Malawi.
It only costs £150 to send a child in India to school for a whole year, so you just think what we could do if we all donated to this worthy cause.
So if you can and you want to, please help us to help these children.
All donations are greatly accepted; large or small, every penny makes a difference.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: The Wings of Hope will receive your money faster.
If you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
We have now completed the majority of our fundraising events which included an autumnal leaf sweep to raise money, which is where the picture is from... it's also the reason why we have a wheelie bin, it's full of leaves. We named it Harold :) We sold jewellery at 4 sales, held a cake sale, and created a seasonal "Candy Cane Principle."
Now it's time for the final push; we've only got a few weeks left.
So please, please dig deep and donate whatever you can; we'd all be amazingly grateful.
Once again, we want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has already given so generously, your donations will make a massive difference.
