My story
Thank you for visiting our fundraising page.
Linda Moore and Chris Adlington are members of Soroptimist International of Chesterfield and District.
They're running the Hydro Active Women's Challenge in Sefton Park, Liverpool, on 16 September 2007 - raising money for the charity Pump Aid.
Pump Aid tackles poverty by working with rural schools and local communities to establish sustainable supplies of clean water for improved health and increased agricultural production.
£250 provides an Elephant Pump for a rural community.
The pumps are simple in design and can be maintained by the beneficiaries.
They're made from cheap local materials and are enclosed in a brick housing to avoid contamination.
They provide clean drinking water and can be used for crop irrigation.
Please help us raise the funds to provide a pump.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Pump Aid will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor us now!
Many thanks for your support.
