Well, mission accomplished - I got round!
The time was a very disappointing 5 1/2hours, but in my defence, it was far too hot!
It was clear by the nine mile pole that any thoughts of getting in between 4 and 4.5 hours was out of the question and so I resolved just to ensure getting round. From around 13, I had to walk (getting back problems) and then went 1/2 mile walk, 1/2 mile run until 16 when I continued running to 19 when blisters started to kick in, so then had to go back 1/2 & 1/2 to 25 miles. I did manage to run in from there though and was flying at the finish! Recovering well, but the feet are sore....thinking of next year already, but then again......
