Story
Firstly thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
Secondly for those of you who don't know much about my charity I'd like to tell you a little bit about my own experience with the 100 Black Men of London. Jamal (my 15 year old son) enrolled on the mentoring programme and was assigned a mentor who would call him as well as attend weekly group based sessions. The programme not only encourages young boys and girls to succeed but gives them access to professional and inspirational role models to counteract the hype about the actuality and potential of London youth. Jamal graduated last year and was fast tracked through to silver (bronze level usually takes a year, then there is silver and gold). The work the organisation does is consistent and important but as ever they need our support to make it happen. So I thought I would do my bit and run a half marathon.
Alongside the mentoring the 100 BMOL run a series of educational programmes utilising film and history walks. And is that isn't enough they also create and distribute a community newsletter which is informative and much needed and annual family days.

Finally donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: 100 Black Men of London gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation. There is no minimum or maximum to what you can donate and there is even the option of a monthly donation to the organisation.
