We are a group of six staff and family members from the Gatehouse Veterinary Group, an independent veterinary practice with branches in Bradford, Bingley and Haworth. We all feel we will benefit from getting fit and would like to help the Ear Trust which is a local charity that helps profoundly deaf children. 

We are running for the Ear Trust. One of their current projects is to raise  £5000 to fund  LENA. This is a digital Language ENvironment Analysis tool to assess the screening and help detect language delays and disorders in young children. The process involves recording every utterance child makes and then through sophisticated software, it will then enable the Speech & Language Therapist to provide families with tailored information on how to improve communication. This is a vital part of rehabilitation with children who are profoundly deaf and have a cochlear implant to help them hear sounds.
