ruralnet|uk is a rural regeneration charity which promotes a living and working countryside and finds new ways to help rural communities improve and strengthen their local economies. It particularly works to support agencies working on the ground to alleviate disadvantage, to enable social inclusion and social enterprise. It works through promoting and enabling collaboration, research, consultancy and information transfer. With local partners, it runs projects which put ideas into practice at local level. It has specialist skills in Information, Communications and Collaboration Technologies (ICCTs) and wide experience covering their potential and their appropriate use for rural areas.

My story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for ruralnet|uk's participation fund. This fund will allow ruralnet|uk to support volunteers in rural communities and help them have a bigger impact. The 'Participation Fund' will enable volunteers to participate in our annual conference and access to our online services like 'Experts Online' and this ride is pump-priming this fund.

The ride took place over 10 days from 29/5/06 and I covered 1069 miles. This site has been set-up to allow those who pledged support to donate.
