On 5 June, together with twelve 13 year old boys (including our son Hal), I will be walking from one side of the Lake District to the other, climbing Great Gable, Scafel Pike and Helvellyn. These are (I think) the three highest mountains in England. The boys will be carrying heavy rucksacks with all their provisions for 3 days including tents. My own pack will weigh 3 stones, and their will be about the same. More on this page: http://www.muirmaxwelltrust.com/maidwell.html I did this walk four years ago with Kit, and I can assure you it was tortuous. My knees ached for months afterwards. It is a walk of 42 miles up and down some very steep mountains over three days; we camp out and whilst I have to admit we will be enjoying in the staggeringly beautiful scenery of the Lake District, it is nevertheless an arduous undertaking. Please can you support me in my endeavour; the charity which will benefit, the Muir Maxwell Trust will use the money raised to great benefit of young sufferers of epilepsy Please take a few minutes out and make a donation. Many thanks in advance for your generosity Simon Bicket
