I am taking part in the Big Issue Foundation London to Paris Bike Ride to raise money for Big Issue vendors.
The Big Issue Foundation is dedicated to working innovatively with vendors to help them move forward, to regain their independence and ultimately rebuild their lives. They take health to the homeless, build financial futures, and strive to move them off the streets and into life. The awards fund gives vendors up to £1500 for re-training. By sponsoring me to cycle to Paris you could help transform a vendors life!
Here is a quick break down of the ride:
Day 1: LONDON TO PORTSMOUTH
114kms / 71miles
DAY 2: CAEN TO BERNAY
100kms / 63miles
DAY 3: BERNAY TO PALACE OF VERSAILLES, PARIS
163kms / 100miles (ouch)
I have never done anything like this before and it will not be easy so please give generously (plus I have to wear cycling shorts too, this will do my pasty skinny legs no favours). Big Issue vendors deserve the opportunity to take control of their lives; and they need your support to make this possible.
