John tragically died of a brain tumour in January 2009 and we, his friends and colleagues are raising money in his memory for Lymington Sail Ability, a charity set up to enable people with disability to take to the water.  John had many passions, computing, photography, gadgetry of any kind, traditional beers, fine wines, and sailing.  He enjoyed visiting Lymington where his uncle once kept a boat.  He participated in several Round The Island races as well as cross channel cruises so knew the waters well.  It is therefore fitting that he should be remembered in this way.
