As well as climbing Kilimanjaro in October, in September I will be cycling the 300 miles from London to Paris to raise money for Breast Cancer Care.

As most of you will know by now, my mum had to have a mastectomy last year after being diagnosed with breast cancer . The opertaion was a great success and she absolutely fine now. But the whole episode made me appreciate just how much cancer affects us all and how important it is that we all help contribute to those organisations that offer free help and support.

Given cancer affects 1 out of 3 people at sometime in their lives, it is lucky for us all that there are many British cancer organisations, but there are two in particular that really helped my mum. I am climbing Kilamanjaro to raise money for Breast Cancer Haven and doing this cycle ride to riase money for Breast Cancer Care. Both are amazing orgnaistaions and both offer free support, information and services to those who need them most, so please dig deep and sponsor me if you can.
