Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
On August 21st 2009 I am setting out to climb a 6000m rock called Kilimanjaro. The reason I am doing this is to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support to give the people that need it most a more comfortable environment and a better chance for the future.
I lost my father-in-law to cancer 6 years ago and nearly lost my mother-in-law 2 years ago, again to cancer, a brain tumour. It's made me aware that we can all do more to help fight this disease and to help others.
It's scary and shocking but 1 in 3 of us will get cancer and I'm sure everyone reading this will know someone who has been affected by cancer in one way or another. I am doing this to try to make a small difference for a lot of people, see if you can help, by helping me raise money for all those suffering people and families and the amazing people at Macmillan so they can help others like me and you.
My sister in law has also signed up to climb alongside me, and will be walking to raise money for her mum, she is raising money for BASIC (Brain and Spinal Injury Centre)and her link is www.justgiving.com/nicosclimbingkili
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Macmillan Cancer Support gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me/ us now!
Thankyou
