My story
I did say never again.........but sometimes things change. 2 years ago I had never heard of CANtreat, but things change.......
On a Friday morning every month someone very special to me attends treatment at Halton Hospital. My Mum receives her cancer treatment in a facility developed at Halton Hospital with CANtreat.
I can not take the place of my mum for this visit, but I can make a small contribution to making that visit easier, by supporting CANtreat, and helping them to continue having a positive impact on the lives of those receiving their cancer care and treatment.
So once again, I will be running the 26.2 miles of the London Marathon, and remembering "Impossible is nothing"
So what is CANtreat?
Positive environments produce positive attitudes! Turning a cancer sufferer’s feelings from the initial shock, fear and bewilderment into determination, survival and understanding is a complicated process.
Underlining all this is the environment in which a patient receives treatment. Believing that the environment plays a significant role in strengthening a patient's resolve to fight cancer, the sole objective at CANtreat is to improve the quality of the treatment environment for all NHS cancer patients.
