As you know, I'm doing a MASSIVE one-day bike ride in June - 350 miles with mountains all in a 24-hour period. A ride like this doesn't just happen, and I've had to make a huge effort to become strong enough to even consider this challenge.

So, why am I doing this? I want to raise money for the fantastic subscription-only teen mag called Caris. Caris is the only Christian-based glossy mag for pre-teen and teenage girls in the UK. The magazine is a not-for-profit venture that's been established against the odds, with a staff of professionals who mostly work for free. Caris covers everything from lipstick to climate change. . . but with a difference. This fab mag exists to inspire its readers, and give them the kind of role models and input which makes a difference to their lives. It's a positive alternative to other teen titles, supporting a Christian values-based view on everything from self-image, eco and justice issues, friendship, handling parents, boys, faith and more!

Caris it TOTALLY unique. And the team is desperate to develop the mag so girls can receive it more often. So, please, join with me and be part of making a positive difference to the lives of teenage girls in the UK. The staff of Caris make this kind of effort every day ,and sacrifice a great deal to ensure that the magazine happens. Whether or not you have children or teenagers yourself, they are the next generation and the future. Let's do our bit, too, to support this pioneering publication.
