Transplant Sport is a registered charity whose main aim is to raise awareness of the need for organ donation. We organise sports and social events for transplant recipients to improve health and well being whilst actively promoting organ donation.

Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

When I compete in Australia 2009 I will be two years older than I was in Bangkok when I won Gold in the 50-metre backstroke so the challenge will be greater, but that is 2 more years life I would not have had without my liver transplant.

While winning at the games is important, it is far more important to raise awareness of organ donation and the need for people to sign up to the organ donor register. Please ask all you friends and relatives if they have signed up to the register and also tell your next of kin that it would be your wish for your organs to be gifted to someone after your death.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Transplant Sport UK gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

By competing in Australia I will be able to raise much needed publicity for organ donation. Please sponsor me now!
