Story

For some bizarre reason I decided it would be a good idea to run the 2012 London Marathon. Yes I know I must be mental having run a grand total of Zero competitive races. Still it seemed like a good idea at the time and I've decided to run for a charity which is close to my family. Hearing Dogs for Deaf people. Mum has been a puppy socialiser for years and we had the 'pleasure' of helping several Hearing Dogs take there first steps towards completing their training.

I'm also running the Bath Half Marathon in March - apparently it's a warm up race.......

Donations of any amount would be greatly appreciated. I have a Gold Bond place so the target is set at my minimum sponsorship pledge amount (yes I do have to send them a cheque for £2012 a month after the marathon, so if anyone wants to buy a car...... )

Latest Update:-

Well the legs seem to be getting used to this running business now. I wouldn't say it was getting easier but it's certainly less painful the day after.

I've managed to get myself roped into doing the Loughborough half on March 25th with the Ashby Lets-Go-Local team. People keep suggesting I try the Ashby 20 as it's 'a good pre-marathon run'

I'd like to thank everyone who's donated so far. It really is a big help and I have to say the fundraising part is proving to be harder work than the running (apart from in the snow, that was just torture)
