My reasons to support Devon Air Ambulance
1)
Several years ago my Dad lived in the Forest of Dean miles from
anywhere. He had a heart condition and whilst visiting him I was
concerned enough to call an Ambulance. It took a long time to arrive as
he was so remote. When the they did arrive they were so concerned
that within 2 minutes of arriving they'd called in the Air Ambulance.
He was airlifted to Gloucester Hospital where he stayed for several
weeks, initially in intensive care. The Air Ambulance saved his life.
No question.
2) As a regular off road runner in the hidden
trails, remote footpaths and along the Coastal path of the South Hams,
I know if I found someone in urgent need of help (or even if I needed
it) it would take too long to get there, if at all, by road.
For
these reasons I'm happy to raise money for the Devon Air Ambulance by
running Exeter Half Marathon
Surely that must be worth a few quid?
