My story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page!

We decided to take the 'Tube Challenge' in the summer holidays. After a lot of stressful route planning and anticipation, we decided that we are going to try to cover all lines in 6 days over the course of the summer. We will get off at each new stop and take a photo by the underground sign, so stay tuned for photos after the first day!

DAY 1: Anki, Simrah and Livvy did 70 stations today, on the Piccadilly, Metropolitan and Circle lines! It's more tiring than it looks.

DAY 2: Anki and Simrah chickened out after a few stops of the Jubilee line, very pathetic indeed.

DAY 3: Anki and Simrah did the entire District line from Richmond to Upminster.. it took 2 hours to get all the way up! We did 28 new stops.

DAY 4: We all did the entirety of the Central line, starting at West Ruislip, and up and along the little legsand loops. It was a total of 49 stations, which brings our total to 154 stations!

A friend of ours wrote us a poem - it made us laugh so we thought we'd share it with you!

Owed to Anki (and mates)

I think your challenge is truly Wapping
I hope you have fun and get time to go shopping!
Some might consider it simply as larking
Personally I think you’re just a little bit Barking!

Glad you are supporting such a good cause
You are Ealing the sick and Stockwell the poor!
Thanks to the Oyster you’ll not need to Kew
Not like in my day, it’s Morden you knew!

I hope you don’t find it too Tufnell Park
Don’t forget to be Home(rton) before Dark!
If it gets all too much and you feel you’ve had ample
Get one of your mates to massage your Temple

There might come a time when you’ll be down on your Neasden
But Upney you’ll get ‘cos you so want to please 'em
With High Barnet askew you’ll complete your endeavour
An Angel pursuing it hell for leather

When back to school you inevitably go
You can regale all your mates with your Monument(al) show
You’ll be Highgate and Islington, Queensbury too
But look out for those who’d wish to make you rue
They are the ones who are simply mean
But remember you have the power to Turnham Green!
