Sing for Water was started by Helen Chadwick in 2002 in London as part of the Mayor's Thames Festival. Her original aim was to raise £1,000 for WaterAid. 9 years later and this year we are on target to exceed £500,000 raised by a growing number of Sing for Water events across the UK.

Sing for Water West ran for the first time in 2009 attracted 650 singers and raised over £37,000. In 2011 we're going to have over 1,000 people singing and are aiming to raise £50,000! But only with your help.

You can donate to the event, or sponsor one of the singers - please let us know who you're supporting to learn all of these wonderful songs.

If you can make it, come along to the event on 9th July at Bristol's harbourside (check out www.singforwaterwest.org) there will be fun for all the family.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
