UPDATE 1 - Thanks to everyone who's donated so far. Due to the response our initial target of £700 was reached within 24hours and so we have now set a new target. Please keep the donations coming as we want to raise as much money as possible for Maggies.

Martin and myself are undertaking our greatest ever physical challenge and attempting to not only take part in the Great North Run (13Miles) but also complete this marathon event (well, half marathon really)!

Jim (Sinky), a colleague and friend, has been battling cancer for 3 years now. After a recent set-back, we've decided to do something positive to raise funds for the Maggies Cancer Caring Centres who provide support for people and families in Jim's situation.

Despite undergoing treatment, Jim recently found the energy to do his own fund raising on behalf of Epilepsy Scotland with his colleagues at Lomond House in a local "It's a Knockout Competition" - see the picture. This drive and determination shown by him is the catalyst for our own fund raising effort.
