What I want to do (target etc)

About Myself

What Life Has Been Like In The Past:

My only target is to live healthier. At the moment I am carrying far too much excess weight and I need to lose it in order in improve my health. I have spent far too many years just eating and drinking. My diet is based on what I like and what I eat is based on taste. I know this needs to change. At the moment if I have had a bad day I comfort myself with takeaways, if I’ve had a good day I reward myself with takeaways.  The cycle of unhealthy living needs to be broken.

I am a teacher in Flintshire and over the years have slowly put weight on and never done anything to lose it. The decline in my health began when I started University at the beginning of the 90s.

I really can be described as a couch potato and this needs to change.

You never know, if I lose weight, I might even find a wife!!!

Please make a sponsorship pledge as either a single amount or maybe you'd like to do it per pound lost and really challenge me!!

Why St. Kentigerns Hospice:

St Kentigerns Hospice has been very important for many people and families. The hospice really needs our support in these times of financial difficulty.

About St Kentigern

Kentigern's is a palliative care day and eight bed residential unit which provides medical and nursing care for patients together with social, emotional and spiritual support for themselves and their families. The need for a hospice was identified in 1986 and, after nine years of planning and fund-raising, was opened in 1995 by Sir Anthony Meyer. Work commenced in october 1999 on our next phase, the building of an 8 bedded residential extension, which opened in December 2000.

In St Kentigern Hospice anxieties are discussed, and symptoms are controlled. Everything is directed towards improving quality of life. St. Kentigern's is very much a local community operation caring for people with life threatening illnesses.
