Hi everyone.
As you're probably here because you know me, I'm sure you realise that I'm rather voluptuous / full-figured / lardy / a bit of a heifer - choose whichever you prefer.
This is due to a few factors - firstly I'm a stubborn moo and still don't accept that I really should take my thyroxine pills every day to give me a metabolism; secondly I'm not exactly the most physical person in the world........well, not in that sense anyway; thirdly I love food, yum yum yum. 
So, finally, after a lot of soul-searching, and a couple of decisions that I made last night on the spur of the moment, I'm going to attempt to do something about it, and start the scales going back the other way. Hopefully.
I have limited willpower and I get bored very easily, so I have realised that the only way I can do this is with the support of all my friends, and what better way than to feel guilted into staying on track.
Therefore, a sponsored diet it is!
I have chosen the Male Cancer Awareness Campaign and the wonderful Mr Testicles to support as I think that male cancers are severely under-represented, and because I recently heard the founder speak at a conference and his passion blew me away.
So, please support me, not only by sponsoring what is certain to be a real test of my willpower, but also by just being there to keep me on the straight and narrow for the next 6 months. Take me dancing, keep an eye on me in restaurants and make me eat more fruit if you get the opportunity!
My target is to lose 3 stone in 6 months. I wanted a target I could realistically reach, but that would also make a tremendous difference to me and my life, and that would be worth reaching into your pockets to sponsor.
