Your Donation is still Welcome - Thank you to all who have helped us reach our first target of £5000. With donations still being given through talks etc. A dream is to double this through continued work through sales of our video diary and through slide show talks to groups. Watch this space!

VIDEO DIARY NOW AVAILABLE! We wanted to share our experience by doing a video diary and it's now finished! If you would like a copy please contact us via our website.                               www.snailafrica.co.uk

Thank You to everybody for their kind support of our project.

It's hard to believe it has been over 10 months since the trip. We are still receiving lots of interest and requests for talks.

Please get in touch if you have a local group that may like us to come along with the car and slideshow!

WE MADE IT! - Both us and our 2cv arrived at Benin Coast on the 29th of November. The route was incredibly hard and we are now totally exhausted.  Photo gallery of trip and report can be seen on our website www.snailafrica.co.uk.

Presentation event in both Norfolk and Northampton planned for late February, please email is if you would like us to let you know when this happening. warm regards a very cold Eleanor and Richard! Thanks You

Eleanor Chubb and Richard Hollis have undertake an epic road trip - 9000km through Africa cutting straight across the Sahara Desert in a 25 year old 602cc Citroen 2CV tin snail as part of the 2009 Touareg Trail. Further than the Paris - Dakar professional rally, harder than a Bear Grylls adventure and 1000 times tougher than green-lane off roading in Northamptonshire but its all for a charity in need of our help.

You can find out lots more and follow our progress through OUR WEBSITE >>

The Route and Time.....
They will travel for one month from Brussels (Belgium), across France, Morocco, Mauritania, Mali, Burkina Faso, Togo and finish by the coast of Benin. Accompanied by 24 other Citroen 2CV's, they set off on October 31st and reach the finish by November 29th.

The Charity.....
The aim is to raise greater awareness and over £5000 for the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
