Over 200km, over 2500m uphill and a police escort!!! This can only mean one thing. The Lepra Edinburgh – St. Andrews Cycle Ride on Saturday 21st June 2008 and then back on Sunday 22 June 2008.

I am raising money for Lepra, http://www.lepra.org.uk, by cycling from Edinburgh to St. Andrews, and then cycling from St. Andrews to Edinburgh again on Sunday.

Lepra helps cure people of Leprosy. The charity works in India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Angola, Malawi, Madagascar, Mozambique, Brazil and Guatemala. You may think Leprosy is a disease of the past, but every year three quarters of a million new cases of leprosy are detected every year.

It only costs £21 to completely cure someone with Leprosy. Money also pays for reconstructive surgery, or to prevent blindness, to restore the use of hands, feet or eyes.

Lepra also plays a major health education role addressing diseases such as TB, HIV and Malaria.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: LEPRA gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!
