Hello / Bonjour / Hola / Oi!
Now we are getting bald / grey / fat we want a year off the mental physical challenges. Searching far and wide (in the pub) we discovered The Sucata Charity Run where you do no physical training at all and just buy a car for the princely sum of £250...then attempt to drive 1,200 miles across Europe until reaching Portugal five days later as long as the wheels don't drop off.
That's not it, but if you know us well you wont be surprised by that. We wanted to have a unique twist to ensure we entertain along the way and raise as much money as possible for Gemin-i to help stop the spread of AIDs in over 100 countries.
For for 250 of the Queen's finest the most you could expect is a battered old car. But we wanted something different. After 5 months of searching low and high across sunny England we found only one beauty that would do. She looked us in the eye and it was love at first sight. We bought her.
As you can see from the model pictures she a 28 year old beauty that lives with the sole purpose to help people, particularly fitting for our charitable expedition. But that's not all...
To help raise money en-route from fellow teams we will be converting the rear of our Ambulance into the worlds finest and smallest nightclub, complete with Cocktail bar! Think smoke machines, disco lights, ice machine and a lovely curvy bar.....all solely funded by us to help aid Gemin-i. Did I forget to mention we are dressing as superheroes in 35 degree heat too?
As you can see to make all of this happen is very time consuming and we are dedicated to raising as much money as possible to help stop the spread of AIDS. Every little helps and any donation will be greatly received. As an extra incentive everyone who sponsors will get access to exclusive video footage and photos that will not be available anywhere else ;)
Please support us in our misguided ambulance superhero nightclub charity dream!
Thank you so much!!
Chris, Dave, Jon, Neil & Steve
P.S. if you have any memorabilia you would like to donate for the ambulance then that would be gratefully accepted too!
