In the Autumn of 2010 & 11 myself and four colleagues have collected thousands of pairs of socks, bars of chocolates and hundreds of blankets & sleeping bags for the homeless in Birmingham, Coventry and Wolverhampton.  We have then delivered these donations to homeless shelters on Christmas morning.

This has been a great success and in 2011 we delivered 1800 pairs of Socks, 2000 bars of chocolate, 150 sleeping bags and 400 blankets.

This year we have to think slightly differently due to storage problems and although the collection will still be done (and socks and chocs delivered near Christmas) I decided to offer an alternative way of helping.

In essence you are sponsoring me, Rosie, Rob, Lesley, Lesley and Tony to collect and distribute socks and chocks to homeless shelters in Birmingham, Coventry and Wolverhampton instead of us doing say a charity walk.  The donations here are for St Basil's simply as an alternative for you to donate to.  Socks and Chocks is running seperately to this page.

Please give what you can or contact the team if you would rather give a pair of socks or a sleeping bag.
