Solo-sohigh charity tour meant to be a fundraising challenge to help raising money for cancer research. I will be doing the tour in september and will be visiting over 25 countries within a month, 32 cities within 31 days across Europe, planning to have few hours long skate sessions everyday in local skateparks with the people i meet, rollerblading for cancer research.
The main reason of among all to pair my love of this sport with activity of helping raise awareness and money for people iNeed, with this creating a message to follow by, because it is something I believe in with all of my heart. My mission is to raise as much for cancer charity as possible. This is a cause very close to my heart as i have friends who have suffered with this disease.
I shall dedicate this tour to Jacky Franks who became a real inspiration to me. She was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2008, but put up a brave fight against the killer disease and still managed to raise funds for research. Cancer did many things to her, but it could never take away her hope. It was a battle Jacky finally lost when she died aged 44. I want to keep her memory alive by doing what she was famous for, and continue her fundraising.A former cabaret dancer who travelled the world, who was always positive, even if she felt down. She would say, Mel go for it, we only live once.
My respect and love to all those who making effort to raise awareness about a problem, whose got missions and fight for a cause.
