Labrador Retriever Rescue Southern England have recently taken on 11 dogs that needed our help as their breeder/owner had died and his family were finding it very hard to cope.
All of the dogs are timid (some extremely timid and fearful) and all are completely unsocialised. The dogs are currently being cared for in foster homes where they are receiving a huge amount of love and care. They are being taught that even the simpliest of things like wearing a collar and lead is ok and nothing scary will happen to them if they do go for a walk. They are slowly learning to trust their fosterers and gradually gaining confidence.
They have all been wormed and de flead, and all will need neutering.
One or two of the bitches are in pup, so we will need to make sure they all get a good start in life when they are born. Proper care now for the mums, and appropriate feeding, worming and vaccinations for the pups to be in place before they can leave their mums and go on to new homes.
Taking on these 11 dogs is a huge financial commitment for LRRSE and will stretch our funds considerably. We would be extremely grateful if you are able to help us by donating to the welfare of the adult dogs and the soon to be born puppies by clicking and donating through justgiving.
