The Shooting Star Children's Hospice is a very special place, a home from home for families who find themselves in truly unimaginable circumstances. Our Care Team are privileged to provide specialist care and support - sharing the good days, being there every step of the way through the more difficult times. The care is family-centred, focusing on the individual needs of the child, or young person, their parents and siblings. Through the provision of respite, palliative and specialist end of life care, whether in the hospice or in the family's own home, we strive to ensure that quality of life is enhanced for the whole family throughout the course of a child's illness and beyond. Every year we must raise £3 million and with no long-term statutory funding, we rely on voluntary donations

My story

Devizes-Westminster is a 24-hour non-stop Canoe Marathon from Devzies (Wiltshire) to Westminster (London). I will be in a double kayak for the race and will have to portage 77 times. As you can imagine, this event is both extremely physically and mentally demanding. So, I would really appreciate your support.
