There are thousands of children growing up in Bulgarian orphanages who live this life day in day out.
My charity 'The Campaign for Bulgaria's Abandoned Children' works with institutionalized children across Bulgaria to give them some hope and improve their quality of life. One of the many things they do is pay for retired ex nursing/teaching staff to go into the orphanages to spend 2 hours per day with the same child.
The time that is spend with their nanny's is so very precious.................... it gives the children hope that someone out there cares for them.
