This July I will be heading off to Mae Sot in Northern Thailand for 5 weeks with a group of 15 other students with Durham University Charities Committee (DUCK).
Whilst there we will spend three weeks teaching English in Burmese schools on the border to children who have fled the oppressive regime in Burma.
We will also be supporting the work the The Burma Education Partnership - a charity who have recently established a Mobile Teacher Programme so trained English speaking volunteers can service a number of schools simultaneously. They are also currently developing teacher training and working towards a more stable and useful curriculum
Over the coming months I need to raise £2,200. £350 of this will go directly to The Burmese Education Partnership and I am appealing to you to give however much you can to help me reach this target.
The money raised will have a direct and positive impact on the quality of life for the refugee community. Just click on the 'donate now' button and i would be eternally greatful!
www.justgiving.com is the most efficient way to sponsor me: Burma Education Partnership gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Every penny counts so however much you could spare would be HUGELY appreciated

Thankyou So Much

p.s. If you think I need to really work for my money I am very open to suggestions... prancing round in silly outfits... shutting up for the day.... it's your call!
