Members of Southbourne Surf Lifesaving club near Bistro on the Beach are throwing their efforts behind a new campaign to promote the club and raise sponsorship and funds for their new modern building.

Having gained planning permission for the new facility at Southbourne beach, the club, which is run entirely by volunteers, wants to raise their profile alongside £120,000 for a new hut.

As well as teaching people of all ages to become lifeguards, the group aims to promote beach safety and healthy living.
