BE PART OF A MARATHON RECORD WITHOUT BREAKING SWEATAs many people of you will know, I had intended to break the Guinness World Record for the amount of money raised by one person at a marathon anywhere in the world at the 2005 Flora London Marathon. However, in light of the efforts for victims of the Tsunami Earthquake disaster which took place across the UK - I and the Steve Redgrave Trust Board of Trustees decided to postpone that attempt for 12 months.Having still completed the 2005 marathon we are back, and fully focused once again on that Guinness World Record target of more than £1.2 million and I need your help to get there.I would like to say a big Thank You to those people who sponsored me ahead of the 2005 marathon - unfortunately your names are no longer shown below for technical reasons but your support is very greatly appreciated. To everyone else - just a few pounds will be a great help to the three projects which the Steve Redgrave Trust has chosen to support through this world record atempt: - The Association of Children's Hospices - The Steve Redgrave Trust inner-city schools project - Children with Leukaemia I am more determined than ever to set a new record, and your donations online at this site can be passed on to the receiving charities on a weekly basis - so thanks for your support, this really is a team effort.
