To say modern life is stressful is somewhat of an under statement. Our lives for whatever reason can get and feel out of control leading to the downward spiral of depression, family break ups, loneliness and even suicide. Swindon sadly with its success culture is a prime place for these problems Often the biggest help is just someone to talk to - it's the Samaritans who provide this vital service. Swindon & District Samaritans with its base and shop in the town centre is a fantastic organisation with great people that depends on charity donation. I signed up for the London Marathon in 2007 for Swindon & District Samaritans but broke my leg in 2 places on the day we had snow!
