About the charity

St Cuthbert’s Hospice opened its Day Hospice in September 1988, as a day Hospice providing specialist palliative care for those with life threatening illnesses with emphasis on quality of life. St Cuthbert’s has grown to include a wide range of essential care services, staffed by a team of experienced professionals. In September 2006 we opened the new 10 bedded In-Patient Unit, which is able to offer care 24 hours a day. This care includes symptom management, short term planned admission and rehabilitation, and End of Life Care.
