Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In September I am taking part in the Great North Swim, the UK's premier open water swim across Lake Windermere. I am swimming for Henshaws, a society for blind people. My grandfather, Alfred Stone, was the Chairman and childhood memories are of the wonderful parties held at Henshaws, especially at Christmas time. They are a great charity and really do make a difference.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Thank you for looking at my page. Unfortunately the Great North Swim was cancelled due to green-blue algae in the lake. I have deferred my entry to 2011 when I will fulfil my commitment to Henshaws. Thank you to all my sponsors, not only for the donations but also for not wanting any refunds. Looking forward to a clear-water swim next summer.
