My story

 

I have 4 days to go until the New York Marathon now, i'm starting to feel a bit nervous. I need help! in more ways than one.....

The last long run is done, there were some confused faces on the South stretch of central park as i laughed/cried and jumped about and then sat down in agony. All that's left now for me to do is add some sparkle to my running vest and eat sleep eat sleep.

I will run the marathon - I have to, i've talked far too much about it to back out now. It would be fantastic if i could ask once for your loyal support. You could do this in one (or both) of two ways:

Make a generous donation to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, on my behalf, by clicking somewhere up there ^

and/or

Come and watch me run/cry/laugh/skip around a city i now call home - i'll be visiting all 5 boroughs on the 1st of November so if Manahttan isn't your 'thing' you could hurl abuse/wave/donate Gummy Bears to me in Queens or The Bronx etc... I'd love you to be there!

I am continuing to run and raise money for The Multiple Sclerosis Society . The money goes directly to the charity and will be used for research and care for those unfortunate to suffer from MS. I realise now that doing a marathon is not uncommon - in fact rather depressingly many of my friends have done more than one and a lot faster, but really its not about the race, its about raising some money and taking part; it's a big personal challenge for me and a charity i firmly support.

any amount of money will do - one pound/dollar or all your lottery winnings - its all the same to me, but every tiny weeny bit counts.

To those who've already given me some money for The MS Society, a big BIG heartfealt Thank You, to those of you 'just about to do it' Thank You too!
