Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
I have entered the London Marathon to raise money for the Neurofibromatosis Association. The disease causes tumours on nerve tissue, affecting eyes, ears, the spinal chord, brain and when under the skin, it is disfiguring. It can affect any family through gene mutation. Many otherwise bright and beautiful children have to face learning difficulties and disfigurement.....anywhere on the face and body. For those of you with your own children or children in your wider family, you know how heart breaking it can be to see a sick child and how helpless you can feel.
I was advised to pull out of Marathon 2009 due to a stress fracture which was extremely disappointing but I have re-enetred for 2010. which is very exciting. Please help me raise as much money as I can for this charity. All the money will go to helping those suffering with the disease and their families.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: NfA gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Every pound helps. £25 will will enable the NFA to provide detailed info and support to a newly diagnosed Neurofibromatosis patient and family. £1250 will buy a LightWriter, a specialised communications aid.
So please sponsor me now.
