About a year ago i visited Tracey Ann House in Bournemouth and saw the work that they do for teeneagers and young adults going through diferent stages of cancer treatment and recovery. It broke my heart to think that when i was that age i was out having fun and definately didn't have much to worry about let alone be faced with the prospect of dying. I also met the Brenda and Jim who run the house and saw the fantastic work they do to ensure the kids that come here enjoy their stay and have the chance to forget about cancer and their treatment and enjoy their life. It really touched my heart.

 

Then last year my 11 year old cousin found out she had a brain tumor. The tumour was successfully removed but the reality of Tracey Ann House and the chance for these patients to 'get away from reality' became real. Since then the tumour has returned and she awaiting treatment.

 

I feel the work that is being undertaken at by the Youth Cancer Trust is invaluable to these young people and it offers a great chance for people who should have no worries or cares in life to experience that for a week. So your money will help to send these young people for a weeks holiday to Bournemouth for some fun.
