Hi, thanks for visiting my fundraising page!
This summer I was raising money for Childreach international, a grass roots (locally led and maintained) charity working in many countries across the world including Tanzania, Uganda, India and Nepal (see http://www.childreach.org.uk/). Childreach helps communities to learn about and develop better clean water supplies and child health and nutrition, as well as helping and improving schools and training young people with skilled trades to help them off the city streets.
To raise this money I asked people to sponsor me for walking the Pennine Way, UK and for the main event: climbing the highest free standing mountain in the world, Africa's massive Mount Kilimanjaro! Near to where Childreach is working in Tanzania.
During our time in Tanzania we went to just some of the schools where childreach is supporting education programmes and endevours. This included a very rewarding game of football and sessions in song and dance with the school children who our efforts had helped.
