First of all, thank you for coming this far and taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Apparently, "A marathoner is a marathoner regardless of time. Virtually everyone who tries the marathon has put in training over months, and it is that exercise and that commitment, physical and mental, that gives meaning to the medal, not just the day’s effort, be it fast or slow.  It's all in conquering the challenge."

Well, I like a challenge!

And someone once said that "There is no doubt a brain and some shoes are essential for marathon success, although if it comes down to a choice, pick the shoes. More people finish marathons with no brains than with no shoes."

I have shoes!!

So, here we go........

I am in no stretch of the imagination, a natural runner. Like everyone else, i would prefer to spend evenings cuddled up with my girlfriend watching repeats of Big Bang Theory, or with my friends at the local pub quizzes! While i do enjoy a run now and again this marathon training gets rediculous, your support and donations are the only things that keep me going (i confess that the finish line and shiney medal help a little) so please please please dig deep for an extremely worthy cause and the lunatic going through hell for them.
