London to Paris Cycle Ride 2007 · 13 June 2007 ·

The primary objective of the Virginia Keiley Benefaction is to promote research into the causes, prevention, alleviation of Parkinson's disease. Donations are used to fund research doctors - both from the UK and overseas - to work at the National Hospital for Neurology, Queen Square in the quest for a cure.

Story

280 miles and 17,550ft of going uphill or 448km and 5318m, this was not an easy challenge, further hampered by regular 30-40mph winds and lashing rain! 17,980 Kcalories were expended in the effort which is a hell of a lot of pasta!

The good news is I made it and my back held out well - the legs are still a bit sore, but standing under the Eiffel Tower made all the hard work worthwhile.

Thanks to everyone who supported both me and The Virginia Keiley Benefaction and if you were waiting to see if I'd make it, this is your chance to make a donation to a very worthy cause!

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to donate: Virginia Keiley Benefaction will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.
