I'm running in the London Marathon on the 26th April, courtesy of my running club, and have seen it as an opportunity to raise money for a charity. I have chosen "Africa's Future".
I always feel that we are privileged in our society in a host of ways, whereas so many people around the world don't share the same degree of affluence, and experience poverty and suffering.
I have put a lot into training, rain or shine, and feel (almost!) ready for the event so please give generously.
I hope you like my hat!
I won't be wearing it on the day, but when I get to the finish line I'll certainly be brandishing a large smile!

Well, the race is run and I crossed the finished line after some struggling with the heat 
during the 2nd half of the course.
Contrary to expectations, I wasn't smiling 
as I made the last pitch from Buckingham Palace to the finish line but definitely experienced a great sense of relief!!
Anyway, it was an fabulous day, the supporters were brilliant with ample supplies of water and deafening cheers, and I put in my all, so please help me to raise the remainder to reach the target for this deserving charity.
