In aid of a good cause I have been persuaded to drag my poor (almost half century old) body out of retirement and into the Brussels 20Km race on 31st May.
Having not run anywhere for the last nine years this will be a challenge.
The cause is "Stop the Traffik (STT)" a charity dedicated to fighting modern day slavery which exists in the form of bonded child labour, forced prostitution and so on. As this is the Brussels 20K I will be running in the STT-Oasis Belgium team. The Belgium STT is particularly involved in combatting sex trafficking and bonded child labour in the cocoa industry. I have aready started to train and it's tough! If you are willing and able to donate a few pounds, euros or dollars to help me reach (or exceed) my target that would certainly help my motivation.
Thanks for reading this far.
