Why does Mencap need its very own Santa?
We need a dedicated Santa to ensure that everyone in and connected to Mencap gets a fair slice of all the Christmas goodies !
What special qualities do you have that would make you the perfect Santa for 2007?
I am currently a National Manager in England who recognises the implications of my work for Mencap Cymru and Mencap Northern Ireland. Working in Community Support at the heart of Mencap (where else could Santa be employed ). I have a lot of experience in managing diverse teams and am used to working to tight deadlines.I don't suffer from vertigo or claustrophobia have already "stuntdoubled" for other people e.g David Crowson ,Elton John. I have a clean driving licence and an Enhanced CRB Disclosure.Being a Northerner I am used to the cold but am warm hearted. My Belbin role rating shows that I am a completer finisher, committed to the cause ( with a total of 12 years employment with MENCAP and a MCFC season ticketholder!!). Not squeamish ,I am able to shovel up the odd bit of Reindeer biproduct and would ensure that this could be reused at Lufton or one of our horticultural projects.My sledge (commonly known as Octavia) would offset any carbon footprints and would reflect our new logo and repositioning...with the current car user policy of 10,000 miles per annum a night of driving wouldn't be a problem.For Health & Safety purposes I would be covered by the new Lookout Lone Working system. Moreover I am partial to the odd bucket of Sherry.
Santa is responsible for upholding the magic and spirit of Christmas. If you could grant the Mencap community one wish, what would it be?
My one wish would be to" grant everybody involved with MENCAP one wish each!!"
