Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My name is Steven Stewart or Grant. I am aged 18 years. I was diagnosed with a rare form of epilepsy, known as Progressive Myoclonic Epilepsy, in 2004. I am wheelchair bound but that doesn't stop me enjoying my life.
I am a Hamilton Accies supporter and try to go to all of their home games with my Dad, John. My Mum, Fiona is my primary carer. I also have a friend Raymond who takes me on trips most days, which is great fun. I have lots of friends who I see and also speak to through social networking.
Now for the serious bit. My Aunt Ann, my Mum's sister (see pictures) died suddenly in November 2007. My Aunt Ann was someone who cared a great deal about young people (she had a pre-school nursery) and helped me a lot with my condition. Professor Brodie of the Western Infirmary has helped me a great deal in controlling my condition. He is associated with The Scottish Epilepsy Initiative, Registered Charity SC034364. The Charity has been established to help young people who suffer from Epilepsy.
In conjunction with the rest of my family I have set up an Honour Fund to raise money for the Charity. We plan lots of events and intend raising funds on a regular basis. In this way I can help young people, who like me, suffer from this debilitating condition.
Watch this page for regular updates on what is happening.
