My personal message:

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

I'd like to raise as much money as I can for Cancer Research UK while running this year's Bristol Half Marathon on 14th September 2008.

I've chosen Cancer Research because my sister Jenny was diagnosed with a nasty brain tumor earlier this year. That's Jen in the photo she sent to my phone when the first dose of Chemo was going in (apparently she didn't look so cheerful minutes later when she had a bit of a reaction to the drugs!).

She has a type of cancer they can only put into remission, not cure, so research really is vital.

So my initial target of £500 has been broken already. I never imagined that would happen! I don't know if I should set a new target? Maybe I should double it up to a whole £1000?!

The £1000 target is well and truly broken now! Thanks again to everyone who has given something.

I don't think I'll keep raising the target for the sake of it though, obviously the more I can raise for Cancer Research the better. So please give whatever you can and leave Jen a message!!
