22 brave souls risked life and limb on 4/5 July to raise money for the Donna Louise Children's Hospice. We started at 4.30 pm on Saturday at Ben Nevis with the aim of completing the Three Peaks Challenge which is to climb Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and within 24 hours. It’s only walking 23 miles with 10,400 feet of climb and driving 500 miles! We endured heat, heavy rain, gales and thick cloud but survived. Three teams took part, 12 from St Modwen / The Trentham Estate, 4 from Prosurv Consult and 6 from Halcrow Yolles.SUCCESS! All 4 from Prosurv team and one of the Halcrow team completed the whole challenge within 24 hours. 4 more from Halcrow and 3 of the St. Modwen/Trentham team reached the top of in 24 hours with 3 others within a few minutes. Virtually all of us finished within 27 hours.
Our final team of 6 from Wragge & Co are doing the challenge on 14 / 15 August.
