St Michael’s Hospice is heavily dependent on the generosity of local individuals, companies, groups and trusts. Did you know it costs around £9.2 million per year to provide our Hospice services? Please support our vital work.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On 19th October 2009, my wife's brother Roger Bartley lost his battle with cancer. His wife, two daughters and his whole family miss him greatly, but his memory will live with us and his many friends for ever.

In Roger's last few days, he was cared for by St Michaels Hospice in Hastings and during this time all of us were inspired by the love, care and dedication that the staff gave to Roger, his family and all of their other patients. I know that they will appreciate whatever donation you can make as this will help ensure they can maintain their unstinting care for loved ones at their time of special need.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

On 21st - 23rd November, some friends and I are planning to cycle Coast 2 Coast (Workington to Tynemouth) in Roger's memory. If we make it (big if I know!) we will complete 147 miles 'in the saddle'.  So please dig deep and donate what you can to the people at St Michaels who care so much.
